Big Toilet is a not-for-profit, independent internet radio station based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Founded in late 2022 by Goy Tung and Eurico Sá Fernandes, we are dedicated to showcasing exceptional local talent and fostering a vibrant underground music community.
Our mission is to provide a platform for creative expression and experimentation within the medium of radio. We empower contributors by offering full autonomy over their show's content and welcome proposals from anyone passionate about the medium. This results in a dynamic and diverse lineup, featuring everything from live performances and DJ sets to talk shows, interviews, discussions, and even cooking shows.
Big Toilet broadcasts live every two weeks from our studio at Broedplaats De Vlugt in Slotermeer. We also organize special public events, often held at cultural venues across Amsterdam, providing a chance to connect directly with our audience. Over the years, we've had the pleasure of hosting events at W139, Neverneverland, Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof, De Vlugt, Butcher's Tears, and De Sering. These events help us expand our reach and strengthen our community.
In addition to broadcasting, we also host workshops, such as DJ workshops, to support skills development within the community. We've had the opportunity to collaborate and curate content for other platforms, including the West Beach Film Festival, further expanding our reach and impact within the creative scene.
